Revolution Review
We're here at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Today's ride we'll be reviewing for you is Revolution. Now Originally, this ride was much different. When it opened in 1976, not only did it only run with lap bars, but it was also trimless! Now unfortunetly, It runs with bulky OTSRs that shouldn't be there and a s**tload of trim brakes. Now I've only been on Revolution with it's OTSRs and trims, but seriously, A Nice Smooth Fast Forceful Fun Ride VS A Rough Slow Painful Forceless Ride. You don't need a brain to figure this one out! So we'll climb in the seats, pull down the bulky ugly disgusting unnesecarry OTSRs (God Damn California Laws!) and the lapbar. Once that's all settled, you climb up the lifthill. As you climb up into the trees, you just start to rant about the stupid OTSRs. And once you get to the top, you drop. And that is where the pain begins. You plummet down through the trees and up the second hill. The ride is already bad enough with the roughness, do you really have to had those trims at the top of that hill? And then you drop back down. From here, you fly by the station. You try to scream to them "STOP!!! DO NOT GO ON THIS RIDE!!!!" But all your attempts fail as Revolution carrys you up the third hill before you can clearly get the message out. At the top of the third hill, more trims await you as you, but then you spiral down to the ground and spiral back up where we meet some god awful trims. These trims practically STOP THE TRAIN!!!! Then you see the element that made Revolution famous. The loop. We slowly start to accelerate. We gradually to make our way down the straight track. This is JUST LIKE Jaguars drop off the second lift hill. After what feels like 15 min of that, we have fully accelerated and are ready for the loop. The loop is like the only decent part of the ride. While it may have been amazing 32 years ago, by my modern standards, that is just an ordinary vertical loop. However, we don't want the loop to end because when it does end, that's when the pain starts again. Then you twist up past a waterfall. And after that you spiral down into the terrain. I remember back when I was 10, that area was just a field waiting to be used I thought. And sure enough, 4 years later, Tatsu was born there. And that just leads you into a tunnel. This part of the ride is also fun because people purposely scream just to hear it echo. However after that tunnel, you hit another set of trim brakes. After that, you go through the loop. Which is cool to look at. Then you dip a little, which leads into the helix finale over the water which heads straight into the brake run. Expect a terrible ride. I wouldn't reccomend riding this ride unless you've never ridden and have more than enough time to do all of the better stuff.
