Green Lantern Review

We're here at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Today's ride we'll be reviewing for you is Green Lantern. After getting in the seats and pulling down your vest OTSRs, you're off. First you climb up the lifthill. The lift hill alone is very interesting as you never really ride it straight. If you're facing the rest of the park, you get a really good view of Six Flags Magic Mountain, or hell, depending on the weight distribution, you could just be staring up at the sky, and see nothing but the big open blue sky. And if you're facing the other side, you'll be getting a really good view of Green Lantern, which looks HUGE from the lifthill. And you may just be looking down at the ground, never knowing when this lifthill will ever end. But quickly, the ride crests the lifthill and you go through the predrop. This actually gives us a little bit of speed and really gets us going. Now usually, you're either leaning slightly foreword, or slightly back, which makes most people slightly nervous. Now before we start the first half, we notice that we passed through a trim which slows us down a little. But before you can say "Trims suck!!!" You swoop down that first dip and get a really insane pop of ejector air!!! It may not be flipping much right now, but dammit!!! It's already crazy!!! We then go through another speed hump that while it doesn't do too much, is still fun. But before you know it, you dive down through another one of those twisted drops, which while we usually don't flip here, you do get an insane helping of EJECTOR AIR!!!!! And because we're not quite rightside up, it's really weird ejector air, where you seem to get other forces as well as ejector air due to the position you're in. After that, we flip a little and head into the midcourse brakes. While we aren't upsidedown on the midcourse brakes, during a lot of my Green Lantern Rides, we were either facing the sky, or the ground here. And yep, right as we got off the midcourse brakes, EJECTOR AIR!!!!!!! Along with some insane flipping. On my duller Green Lantern rides, this gave us some more EJECTOR AIR!!!!! (Seriously, Green Lantern has the best airtime out of any coaster in California.) And on my more insane rides, we began to flip like crazy here. We just dropped down facing the ground, which also had some really funky but freaky ejector air. We then rise up before going through another one of those drops. And on the really crazy rides, we got some insane flips right here. Hell, I was in the station about to ride, and I saw Cody on the car right above the station flipping like crazy. And then we get the final hump. You almost ALWAYs flip on the final hump. Seriously, that hump is designed to make you go upsidedown. Which makes it really crazy. And even when it doesn't flip there, it's still really fun there, and then you slam into the brake run here. And the really crazy rides continue to have you flip on the brake run. While Green Lantern may not be the best coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain, it is a great unique coaster that still made it into my Top 10 List. Ride it now. It's truely an insane ride.
